Abstract
The presence of Lepisiota melas (Emery, 1915), new to the Iberian Peninsula, in the facilities of the port of Barcelona is documented. The population is well established and coexists with at least seven species of native ants and one exotic. Two other species of ants are also added, one exotic (Paratrechina longicornis (Latreille, 1802)) and another native (Goniomma decipiens Espadaler, 1997) to the check-list of ants known in Catalonia.
