New records and update of the Iberian distribution for Lasius carniolicus Mayr, 1861 (Hymenoptera: Formicidae)

Abstract

The Iberian bibliographical records for the temporary social parasite L. carniolicus are gathered. Seven new localities are added, including the first records for the provinces of Girona, Guadalajara and Navarra. The distribution and habitat for this species is comment- ed, seeming to have a wide ecological valence. The Lasius species present in the same localities than L. carniolicus are listed, since they could be the hosts.
